ArtCademy's presentation to PROMalaga companies in La Alcazaba

As part of the networking activity Museums & Business organized by Promálaga and the Area of Culture of Malaga City Council on September 24th, the University of Malaga has been invited to present the Erasmus+ ARTCademy project to the 20 companies participating in the meeting, which has been held in the gardens of La Alcazaba in Malaga, and which culminated in a guided tour of the emblematic monument. Among the participants in this meeting there were present companies such as Lillo Translations, Oscar Albánez, Britkids , Cooking Málaga, RGD Project Factory, Voilà Málaga, up to the number of 20 participants limited by health safety conditions.
In this event, the project coordinator, professor Ana María Castillo-Clavero, has made the presentation of the most relevant results of ARTCademy, such as: the platform of Open Educational Resources www.artcademy.eu where is displayed the first virtual encyclopedia of European craftsmanship CraftPedia, which collects about 200 fiches of traditional craft trades at risk of disappearance, typical of the 7 European countries members of the ARTCademy consortium; the 12 Biz-Training training courses offered in 7 languages which aim to enhance competitiveness and improve the business management skills of artisanal companies; and finally, the virtual knowledge community Green Art House that will be a meeting point and a window for the sector of handicrafts and in which those artisanal companies that want to collaborate with the project and publicize their work can be integrated as associate members.
ARTCademy is an Erasmus+ vocational training project granted in the 2018’s call of key actions, that is being developed by a consortium of 8 partners from 7 European countries (Spain, Italy, Poland, Romania, Belgium, Slovakia and Cyprus) and it aimed at showing, caring for and strengthening the valuable cultural heritage made up of traditional European craftsmanship, by making its enormous variety and wealth visible through CraftPedia and also contributing to the business training of micro-enterprises, artisan men and women who integrate them, so that they develop their management capacities for being more competitive in the global market.
