Ana Martínez arrived at Granada’s Alpujarra to
participate in a looms workshop, but she stayed there in Bubión. 27 years later
she has her own textile workshop, Hilacar. Using two looms, which are more than
200 years old, she makes her ‘jarapas’, a type of fabric. Her products count on
the Natural Park of Andalusia brand and the European Charter of Sustainable
Tourism. Apart from Spanish clients, thanks to her online shop, her ‘jarapas’
arrive to many European cities.
