- As the name indicates, the origin of this steel is from Damascus city in Syria. In 1400, however there was a big tradition of Damascus steel forging in Toledo called Toledo’s steel, which spread through entire Europe.

In this video all the steps in welding the steel together and forging the sword are shown, illustrating the unique style and technique of this fine and rare blakcsmith art.
